Communication-Empowerment.com was founded by John Nielsen in 2008 when he published a Christ-centered recovery workbook,
Effective Communication Skills, The Foundations for Change. After many years as a successful entrepreneur and building a multi-million dollar business, in 1986 John came face-to-face with his own addictions and brokenness which led him to surrendering his life to Jesus Christ. Over the next several decades, John served as an associate pastor of a local church where he developed a Christ-centered recovery program, couples and family counseling, team building, mediation services, as well as many other ministries which have affected individual lives, families, and companies. John had a hunger to find resources that would help people which led him to using programs developed by several successful organizations in the area of communication skills. During this 25+ years of ministry, John has spent untold hours learning, utilizing and developing communication skills training tools. In 2008 John published his own workbook, Effective Communication Skills, The Foundations for Change, which was designed to help new people coming into the recovery program to learn effective communication skills that would help them with their recovery journey. These communication skills are transferrable to situations beyond just recovery; they are foundational for all who would want to become better communicators and strengthen their relationships. John has seen firsthand the power of God to change lives and restore broken relationships through the use of effective communication.
