🧪🎈 Science in action at Drew! 🎈🧪

Mrs. Redford’s 1st graders put on their scientist hats today and conducted a fun experiment using a water bottle, vinegar, and baking soda! 🔬 They combined a solid and a liquid to create a gas—and watched that gas blow up a balloon right before their eyes! 🎈🤯

Hands-on learning makes science come alive! Way to go, little Cougar scientists! ❤️🤍🐾

There’s something special about seeing our big Cougars showing up for our little Cougars! ❤️

We loved having some of our CHS student-athletes on campus to lend a helping hand at car rider line, visit with our students, share some smiles, and be positive role models for our Drew Cougars!

Our students absolutely LOVE seeing the high school athletes on campus—and we love watching those connections grow. These are the moments that build Cougar Pride from elementary school all the way to high school! 🐾

📚✨ Learning in Action! ✨📚

Ms. Henderson’s 5th grade students were busy learning and collaborating during a Reading Carousel activity! Students worked together, shared their thinking, and learned from one another as they rotated through each station.

We love seeing our Cougars engaged, communicating, and growing together! ❤️🤍🐾

📣❤️ What a fantastic first cheer practice! ❤️📣

Our DES Cheer squad is 33 members strong this year—our BIGGEST squad yet! Coach Shimek and Coach Jackson are already so proud of this amazing group of girls! 🐾🤍

One of our favorite moments today was watching our returning cheerleaders from last year step up as leaders and teach our new squad members the “We’re DES” cheer! ❤️ We also had some fun playing a name game and getting to know our new teammates.

We are off to a GREAT start and can’t wait to see what this squad accomplishes this year!

Great job, ladies! Go DES! 📣❤️🤍🐾
