🚨Calling C-I Band Alumni!!!🚨

Homecoming is Friday, Sept 25th and the band would like you (YES, YOU 🫵) to come play with them at the Football game! It doesn’t matter if you graduated last year or 20+ years ago-as long as you can read music and play your instrument, we’d love to have you!

Homecoming is all about coming home, so come back home to band-the kids find it really inspiring to see adults still playing their instruments!

If you are interested in playing, please contact Ms. Van Grootheest at [email protected] with your name, what instrument you play, and if you need to borrow one! She’ll send you music we’re playing and prepare a folder for you as well!

The C-I Ranger Marching Band was back at the annual 4th of July Parade for America’s 250th! 🇺🇸🎆🎇
Our 20 members strong band (biggest summer band yet!) performed a few patriotic tunes, Firework, Party in the USA, and Seven Nation Army. Thanks for having us! ❤️🤍💙

On March 9th and 10th, Crosby-Ironton hosted the South 7A Section Large Group Contest/Solo & Ensemble Festival for both band and choir! We had over 11 schools attend including: Aitkin, Barnum, Esko, Northland Remer, Proctor, Cromwell-Wright, Willow River

Our 9th-12th grade Symphonic Band perform a Category II piece, Halcyon Hearts, and earned three superior ratings, bringing home a trophy for the first time in many years :)

Many band students also performed solos/ensembles including: Belle Smith-Clarinet Solo: Superior
Alex Grabrian-Flute Solo: Superior
Carson Freese-Trumpet Solo: Superior
Sarah Maroney-Alto Sax Solo: Superior
Jozey Mertens & Hailey Miller-Flute & Clarinet Duet: Superior
Augustus Torgerson, Belle Smith, Alex Grabrian-Mixed Woodwind Trio: Superior
Noah Dietz, Nathan Mueller, Augustus Torgerson, Chris Wolf- Sax Quartet: Superior

The auditioned 9th-12th grade Concert Choir also performed and received one superior rating and two excellent ratings!

Our 7th-12th Spring Band Concert will be Thursday, March 12th at 6:30 PM in the Mayberry Auditorium! Doors open at 6:20 PM.

On February 7th, select 7th-9th grade Ranger musicians participated in the first ever Junior High All-Conference, hosted by Rush City High School. These musicians had ONE day to rehearse and put on a concert after working with guest clinicians! Other participating schools include Aitkin, Braham, Oglivie, Isle, Onamia, Pine City, Hinkley-Finalyson, and Rush City.
