During the last couple weeks of school, Alexander Fleming and Lucas Habighorst, designed and constructed a cardboard tower capable of holding the hammer!

Seventh graders in Mrs. Syrstad's English classes read The Amazing Generation. They had to interview an adult about their favorite childhood memories and relationship with technology. Then students wrote their own favorite memories and the favorite memories of the adult they interviewed. They sorted these favorite memories into two categories: tech and no tech. Not surprisingly, none of the favorite memories were centered on technology. It wad a great lesson and reminder that true fun, freedom, and friendship rarely stems from technology. 🤩

CRES PTO looking for Course Marshalls, Boat Marshalls and Boat Helpers for the Cuyuna Off-Road Triathlon, Sunday morning, June 14th. This is the single fundraiser that provides all funds for PTO to support field trips, teacher supplies, classroom events and playground equipment.

The jobs are easy and desperately needed! Just a few hours of your time cheering on racers as they go by!

FYI, starting Tuesday and going through Thursday, local EMS personnel, law enforcement and fire departments will be conducting active threat response training.
This is training! There is no threat to the public.

🚨 TRAINING NOTICE 🚨

Beginning tomorrow and continuing through Thursday, law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel from across the area will be conducting active threat response training at Crosby High School.

During the training, community members may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles, first responders, and training activity in and around the school. This is only a training exercise and there is no threat to the public.

These exercises provide an important opportunity for first responders to train together and strengthen our coordinated response capabilities in the event of a real emergency.

We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of the Crosby-Ironton School District and the community as we conduct this valuable training.

CIS Practical Writing students celebrated the end of their semester and senior year by having a potluck. This semester students learned how to write for personal, public, and professional settings for a variety of purposes. Congrats to the class of 2026 and best wishes on your future endeavors!
