I had no clue ART was so big in our schools. Attended the 1st annual Art Show tonight and it did not disappoint. Amazing work kiddos, you are so talented!

I was blessed this afternoon with an outstanding performance by our Crosby Cougar Stars. They put on their annual Spring Show and it was a pure display of beauty, elegance and grace. Ok, a little sass was mixed in their too. We have so many extremely talented young ladies and I want to give a huge thank you to Mrs. Godoy for establishing a culture and setting that will launch these young ladies into success.

In case you missed it, at the board meeting this past Monday, the board was presented with and voted for an early redemption and defeasance of bonds. The district was able to pay down $4,935,000 of debt and SAVE the taxpayers $3,407,390 in interest. Just another example of the incredible fiscal responsibility of our Aministration and Finance department.

Ran out this morning to support our Crosby Cougar Dance Star officers as they began their competition season. These young ladies are AMAZING and had the best skit / choreographed routine. I was blown away. Great job ladies and good luck.

Just another great update to share with you.

The Board was presented with the Annual Fiancial Audit of the District.

The results were;
1.) The highest rating that could be given. An unmodified opinion.
2.) No internal control findings related to financial reporting.
3.) No findings related to compliance.

Your District is doing an outstanding job with its financial accountability and responsibility!

I want to say, THANK YOU to the 8,450 people who clicked my name in support of my reelection to the CISD School Board. I will continue in striving to make the best decisions possible for the future of our district. Most importantly for the students we have been entrusted with.

Last weekend, the Crosby Education Foundation put on a show for the ages. I just want to take a brief moment to express my utmost gratefulness and appreciation to so many individuals who seem to find the time and energy to pull together such incredible events. What CEF does for our students is incredible! The money they raise goes directly back into the classrooms to assist in various needs for our students. We as a District are truly blessed to have these individuals with huge caring hearts. Thanks again CEF!

Today I want to give a shout out of encouragement followed up with a request for prayers for our teachers. You see, they will have the greatest opportunity to make an impact over our children for the next 9 months. Please support them and encourage them so that the influence they have over our children is a positive one. It is a team effort, so get involved. God bless you teachers!
