At THE CLIMAX LIBRARY TODAY 2pm-4pm

Through observation, inquiry, and hands-on activities, young scientists will examine real specimens, make comparisons, and uncover the stories hidden in rocks, soil, and fossils. It's a fun and engaging opportunity to explore geology, paleontology, and the natural world around us!

This program is free and open to all youth. Come ready to investigate, discover, and get your hands a little dirty!

We will be at the Mahnomen Public Library tomorrow at 12:30!!! Join us for Fun with Fossils!

Go beneath the surface and join an outreach team from the University of MN - Crookston's Center for Rural Education in Science and Technology and discover how the ground beneath your feet holds a timeline of the past using soil layers, rocks, minerals, and fossils to decode Earth’s story. Events will be held at locations around the region and are geared for youth ages 5-13.

The CREST team had a great morning at the Fertile Public Library! Participants explored the fascinating world of paleontology by creating three types of fossils: petrified fossils, trace fossils, and amber fossils. They also had the opportunity to dig for and identify real fossils, bringing Earth's ancient history to life through hands-on STEM learning. 🦴🦕🔍
