Being able to give is one of the greatest gifts.
Our summer horticulture interns got the opportunity to share the fruits of their labor from the Pedersen Garden on campus with the Care and Share of Crookston.
Today we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to these two wonderful young ladies for stopping by the shelter and generously donating fresh garden vegetables, including crisp cucumbers and green beans.
There is something incredibly meaningful about receiving produce that has been grown, nurtured, and harvested by someone's own hands. A garden requires patience, dedication, and care, making each vegetable more than just food, it is an expression of kindness, compassion, and intention. Choosing to share the fruits of that labor with others is a beautiful reminder that generosity often begins with a single seed.
These fresh vegetables will help us provide nutritious, wholesome meals in our soup kitchen while also offering healthy options to the families we serve through the New Hope Food Shelf. Access to fresh produce is a gift that nourishes both the body and the spirit, and donations like these help us ensure our neighbors have choices that support their health and well-being.
Thank you both for your generous hearts and for thinking of our community. Your kindness will touch the lives of many, and we are truly grateful for your support. 💛💫
