Brayden is a convert to Catholicism from Southern Baptist, and hosts the YouTube channel The Catechumen (which will continue under our banner). We're excited to have him on board and be part of our mission: to explain and defend the Catholic faith to all.

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT!

Fr. Bill Fox (MA, MDiv, 2018), a priest for the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, served as a chaplain for the recent National Scout Jamboree held from July 22-31, 2026, at Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia. The National Scout Jamboree is held roughly every four years. The 2026 Jamboree welcomed up to 30,000 Scouts and adult Scouters from across the United States, as well as a few Scouts from other countries. Fr. Fox served with two other priests, one permanent deacon and 40 other chaplains from other faith groups to serve the spiritual needs of Jamboree participants. He also worked with lay volunteers with Catholic Scouting America (formerly, the "National Catholic Committee on Scouting"), at the "Duty to God" tent, telling all visitors about our Catholic Faith.

Fr. Fox is an Eagle Scout and was an active adult Scout leader before he entered formation at Holy Apostles in 2013. He previously served as chaplain for the World Scout Jamboree, also held at Summit Bechtel, in 2019.

Congratulations to Father Joseph Tran Ngoc Huan!

Fr. Huan, a Holy Apostles Seminary graduate, was ordained on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, the Memorial of St. John Mary Vianney, at Lạng Sơn Cathedral by Bishop Joseph Châu Ngọc Tri.

Today, we celebrate 250 years of our nation’s enduring pursuit of life, liberty, justice, and the common good. As we give thanks for the blessings of freedom, we also pray for our country, its leaders, and all who call America home.

As Pope Leo XIV invoked at the conclusion of his recent letter to the United States:

“Immaculate Conception, patroness of this country, that she will continue to watch over America and protect all who dwell therein.”

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, under her title of the Immaculate Conception, intercede for our nation, guiding us toward faith, peace, and hope.
