🎃🦇 A spooktacular thank-you to all of our Starfish families, teachers, staff, and PTA members who made our annual Movie Night a howling success! 🍿👻

We loved seeing everyone bundle up, enjoy some popcorn, and gather with friends for a frightfully fun night watching Hotel Transylvania! 🧛‍♂️🦇

Halloween Festivities 🎃 🍁

We will be hosting our annual Halloween festivities on Friday, October 30. Our school-wide parade will take place from 1:00–1:15 PM, followed by classroom celebrations. Please be on the lookout for more information from your teacher(s) in the coming days. If you do not wish for your student to participate in the event please make sure to reach out to your students teacher ahead of time!!

🎃 Get Ready for a Spook-tacular Night! 🎃

Get your costumes ready and join us for a spook-tacular evening of family fun at the NES Trunk or Treat! This favorite fall tradition brings our school community together for safe trick-or-treating, creatively decorated car trunks, and plenty of Halloween spirit.

This event is only open to Nantucket families. Come creep, crawl, and trick-or-treat your way through the decorated trunks, collect some sweet treats, and enjoy a festive night with friends and neighbors. It’s sure to be a fang-tastic evening! Don’t miss your chance to dress up, have some fun, and celebrate with the NES community. Come one, come all, and let’s make this a hauntingly good time!

Want to be part of the fun? This event takes a lot of volunteer support, and we’re counting on our Nantucket families to help make it a boo-tiful success! There are plenty of ways to lend a hand:
🎃 Host a trunk and show off your Halloween creativity
🍬 Donate candy or non-food treats to keep our trick-or-treaters happy
🧹 Join the set-up/clean-up crew and help us make the magic happen
🕷️ Be a candy runner to make sure our trunks stay stocked for trick-or-treaters
👻 Help manage crowds and lines to keep the night moving smoothly

We are so excited for our upcoming fall book fair! Students will have the opportunity to visit the book fair during their scheduled media class from November 4-10.

It's also a great volunteer opportunity for you to:
📚Help students pick out new books to purchase or create a book wishlist
📚Run the register and support our Starfish as they're calculating their purchase total against what they have available to spend
📚Support our Media team in keeping the books organized for future classes
