I must be CRAZY. I have let the Honor Society talk me into CONSIDERING an overnight. Yes, did them all the time in my 20's with the youth group. That was a LONG time ago.

IF I do this, I will bring a mattress. A REAL ONE!!

Tomorrow is the cut for the top 15, and today is 2x votes for donation votes (AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T FEEL THE NEED TO PAY FOR VOTES!). I was 10th for awhile and am now 12th, so I should make this cut, but I will need your help next week to make the top 10 cut!! Thanks for your help and to those that are voting every day!

So I haven't completed it yet, but I'm excited to give it a try. Teacher friends, I had been avoiding this ad because it looked too elementary, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought that I could make it ELEMENTAL and my 8th graders could TOTALLY write a book! There have been quite a few class discussions about my sloppy joe recipe, so here it is. It was adapted from something I found online so long ago that I can't find it again to give credit.
1 lb of ground beef makes 4 sandwiches. I usually double the recipe... I'm feeding teenage boys!
Start to brown 1 lb ground beef.
Mix 1/4 cup brown sugar with 2-3 T of seasoned salt. Sprinkle over meat.
Brown meat. Add chopped onion here if that's your thing.
Once meat is browned and you've added the onion, sprinkle/shake 1-2 T each of A-1 (steak sauce of any kind is fine) and Worcestershire sauce, stir. Let cook on med, med-lo for a few minutes.

Open 1 can tomato sauce. Add half to the pan, stir. To the can, add 1 T of flour or cornstarch and whisk or stir well with a fork, then add to the pan (use a spatula and get it all out!) Stir well. Turn down heat and let cook for 5-8 mins, stir occasionally.

We like the Nature's own brioche hamburger buns. Enjoy!! Let me know what you think!
