Today, we welcome Ms. Nyla Hughes! She is our new Library and Technology Aid.

Here is a bit about her: "Hello! I'm Nyla and I'm very excited to begin my role as the Library and Technology aid! I recently earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Saint louis University (Go Billikens!!!). I've always enjoyed working with kids and I'm very happy to be in a role where I can use my tech skills to help students succeed! Outside of work I enjoy reading, video games, anime and finding new spots to eat at! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and becoming a part of the Willow Brook community!"

First up this week is Ms. Jayla Moore! She will be joining our 4th grade team.

Here is a little about Jayla: "Hello everyone! You may recognize me from the ALPHA program last year but I’m so thrilled to be stepping into this new role! In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my friends, family, and my cat Juno. This will be my third year teaching and I’m so excited to be joining the Willow Brook family this school year!"

Today, we welcome Mrs. Julie Linck! She is joining us as our new instructional specialist.

Here is a bit about Julie: "After 27 rewarding years teaching elementary grades (K, 3, 4, & 5) at Academy of Innovation at Re*****on and starting my career teaching 1st grade at Bridgeway, I am honored to join the Willow Brook team!
Off-clock, I’ve been happily married to my husband for 29 years. We are proud parents of two married adult children, grandparents to one (with another on the way!), and pet parents to two goofy dogs. In my free time, I love starting my day with coffee, browsing farmers' markets, reading, and exercising. I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year!"

Today, we are welcoming our NEW ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL 🎉 Mr. Carter Kennedy!

Here is a little about him: "Hi! I'm Carter Kennedy, and I will be the new Assistant Principal. I am so excited to join and serve the Willow Brook community this upcoming school year! For the past 4 years I taught social studies at Pattonville Heights Middle School, but I have been in Pattonville my whole life as a K-12 alum. I am engaged to my beautiful fiancé, and we are getting married this December! In my free time I really enjoy running, finding new coffee shops to try, and playing pickleball. I'm looking forward to a great year ahead at Willow Brook!"

Next up, we are welcoming Mrs. Demi Klahs as our new district technology specialist!

Here is a little about Demi: "This has been a big year for me from transitioning into this new technology role to recently getting married. Before this, I spent the last seven years teaching second grade in the Pattonville School District. I love spending time with my family; my husband and I have a golden retriever named Achilles and a cat named Ada. In my free time, you can find me baking, cooking, and gardening, as well as traveling, playing board games, and getting outdoors to hike or play pickleball. I can't wait to work with the amazing students, staff and teachers at Willow Brook."

Hey Wildcats!! We hope you are having an amazing summer. We'd like to spend the next couple weeks introducing you to each of the people joining our team (or changing positions). We can't wait to see everyone in just a few weeks!!!

Our first up to reintroduce is Mrs. Greer! Here is a short bio written by her:

"You might recognize me as the official door-opener at morning drop-off, the frantic car-tag puncher at dismissal, or the person constantly working on iPads! It’s been a ton of fun (and honestly a little scary learning the ropes), but I am so thrilled to take on this new role. A few fun facts about me outside the classroom: I'm a certified Swiftie, a Diet Dr. Pepper enthusiast, and a firm believer that seasonal Reese's are elite. I am thrilled to step into this new position for my fifth year at WB."
