This week and next, we will be highlighting different summer programs your students have access to. Today, I want to highlight Stride's FREE Virtual Summer Camp for eSports! These programs will help our students improve their eSports skills, learn how to create video games, and learn how to code. Many of the skills developed in eSports relate to a career in the tech industry. Your child can learn from the comfort of your very own home this summer. Feel free to sign up for multiple programs.

These sessions are based on age - you must be 8-18 years old by the start date of the session to apply.

We have a huge variety of engagement activities you can participate in on the MOVA or Stride/K12 level. Here are some of the activities we have planned for you:

Missouri Online Summer Institute (MOSI) – Grades 7-12. Virtual Summer School through the Grandview School District for credit

Stride Summer Camp – Grades K-8. Virtual Summer Camp similar to traditional Elementary and Middle School summer school NOT for credit or grades. Focuses on ELA and Math.

MOVA Summer Challenges – Grades K-12. MOVA will have 2 different challenges for students this summer: "MOVA Summer Reading Challenge" and "MOVA Masterminds". You can earn points for prizes this summer for reading and staying engaged.

MOVA Book Club – Grades 6-12. We will vote on one book to read and discuss during the month of July.

Brain Boost – Grades K-12. An online, interactive program for students to continue their learning over the summer. Brain Boost includes learning games, Big Universe eLibrary, creative challenges and much more!

Stride eSports Camp – Ages 8-18. Stride is offering multiple programs for different age groups to help your child improve their esports skills, learn how to create video games, and learn how to code.

Stride Summer Enrichment Programs – Grades K-12. Stride is offering Enrichment programs at a low cost that have live instruction and instructors. Student will earn an end of course certification of completion in a high-demand skill area.

Stride Contests & Other Events – Stride will host a few events and contests such as the National Cook-Off. Check back for more Stride events throughout the summer.
