Meet Miss Lakin! 📚✏️📓
Hi, my name is Lakin and I am excited to be part of the Rainbow’s End Preschool team! I graduated from Morton High School and then attended cosmetology school, where I began my career working in salons. Later, I transitioned into the banking industry and worked at Red Brand Credit Union for seven years. After welcoming our children, my family and I decided that staying home with them was the best choice for us, and it has been one of the most rewarding seasons of my life. 💇♀️💈🎀
Being home with my children gave me the opportunity to be involved in their learning and school activities, and that’s when I discovered how much I enjoy working with children. Watching them learn, grow, and experience new things each day is incredibly rewarding. Their excitement, curiosity, and joy make every day special, and it truly doesn’t feel like work.
A fun fact about our family is that all of my children have attended Rainbow’s End Preschool! We have been part of the Rainbow’s End family for the past eight years, so this program has a very special place in my heart. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy trying new creative hobbies, including painting banners, making custom shirts, woodworking, and other craft projects. I love having opportunities to be creative and bring ideas to life. 🎨👚🪵
I am looking forward to a wonderful school year—seeing familiar faces return and welcoming all of our new preschool friends! Serving at Rainbow’s End Preschool and being involved with the church has also strengthened my faith in meaningful ways. It has helped me grow closer to God while allowing me to serve children and families in a place that feels like home. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing community and can’t wait for a fun and exciting year together!
