What a special night for Illinois Lutheran!

As we celebrated our first home high school volleyball match of the season, we also had the opportunity to recognize and thank those who supported our gym resurfacing project.

We are so grateful for everyone who helped make this project possible. Our newly resurfaced gym floor is already being enjoyed by our students for physical education classes, chapel services, athletic practices, and competitions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the court for recognition and to all who have supported Illinois Lutheran! We are excited for all of the memories, worship, learning, and Charger victories that will take place on this beautiful new floor!

🏐⚽️ Concession Stand Volunteers Needed!

We’re looking forward to another great season of junior high soccer and high school golf, soccer, and volleyball! As part of supporting our athletic programs, families are asked to help with at least two concession stand shifts throughout the season.

Students or other family members are welcome to volunteer in place of a parent/guardian. We appreciate any family members who are able to lend a hand!

Signing up on EventLink is easy!
Go to Event Jobs → Worker Requests.
Once approved, select Open Jobs and choose the shifts that work best for you. Please double-check the date, time, and sport before accepting a shift.

Save the date! On Sunday, September 13th at 10 am all students in PreK-8th grade will be singing as a part of “Stay Connected Sunday". This is a special outdoor worship service on the ILS playground to kick off our school year. You are also invited to stay after for lunch, games, and more (see flyer). You're encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs or blanket to sit on.

🕛 Lunch will be served at 12:20 PM

We’ll enjoy lunch together before kicking off some fun team-building games for our junior high and high school students! 🎉

If your student has special dietary needs, you may want to consider sending a packed lunch in case they are unable to eat the food provided.

A New School Year & A New Look for Our Gym!

As we welcomed our students back to school this week, we’ve been excited to see them already enjoying our newly resurfaced gym floor! From physical education classes and chapel worship services to practices and home games, this space will be used by our students and school community in so many ways throughout the year.

Our first high school home volleyball match is coming up on Monday, August 24!

🏐 JV — 5:00 p.m.
🏐 Varsity — 6:00 p.m.

Around 5:45 p.m., between the JV and varsity matches, we will invite all those who supported our gym resurfacing project and are willing and able to join us on the gym floor for recognition.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make this project possible and are excited to celebrate this special addition to our school!

The Charger Booster Association is partnering with Woldhuis Farms to kick off the school year with a mums sale! Mums are 9-inch pots with 18-inch diameter heads. The cost is $15 each. Proceeds from every sale will go to support ILS programs for our children. Please submit your order online by September 14th.

Mums will be ready for pick up on Saturday, September 19th at the high school campus (1610 Main Street in Crete, IL).

This past Sunday at Trinity, we celebrated the installation of Illinois Lutheran School’s newest teachers, Joe and Lydia Panning and Rachel Lanera.

We are thankful for their willingness to serve our students and our school community. We pray that God will continue to guide, strengthen, and bless them as they begin their ministry at Illinois Lutheran School.
