Our final day in Paris took us to the Palace of Versailles and its gardens- home of Louis XIV, XV, XVI, and Marie Antoinette! After exploring the massive palace and gardens we walked to a group lunch at the most amazing crêperie in Versailles! After a short bus ride and break at the hotel we traveled to our final group dinner, which was spectacular. The evening was capped off by a beautiful sunset cruise on the river Seine where we returned just in time for the fabulous Eiffel Tower to show us why Paris is the City of Lights!! Paris, you have our hearts, but we are ready to head for home after a short night’s rest. See you soon, Nebraska!! 🇫🇷 🐅 🇺🇸

On Day 4 we ventured out of Paris to Normandy for an inspiring day of history and music. We began with a visit to The American Cemetery at Omaha Beach where we saw the many sacrifices made to liberate the people of France. We were also able to view German gunnery bunkers up close, bringing the challenges of WW2’s Normandy invasion to light for us all. We then traveled to the Caen Peace Memorial and Museum where we were proud to share our music with so many people. The hospitality and appreciation shown to us by the people of France, Caen, and all of Normandy has truly been inspiring. Many thanks to the staff of for welcoming us to their museum and for a wonderful reception after our performance. What an incredible day!

Day 3!!! We began at the Eiffel Tower and found our way up to the second deck - what a stunning view! From there we toured the Paris Opera House and saw the booth, which is still reserved for the Phantom! But without a doubt, the high point of the day was an incredible performance at The American Church in Paris where the Doane France Band made music for over 160 people! They were so kind and appreciative of our musicians, and we could not be more grateful. We were even blessed to find a Doane Band(trombone)/Choir Alumnus in the crowd! Go Band and Go Tigers!! 🐅 🎵
