We’re growing at Pocosin!

New spaces, new equipment, and new opportunities for our students to learn, play, and grow!

🏀 Our new basketball court is already getting plenty of use! Paint and new goals coming soon!

🚜Our new school tractor is officially putting in some work!

☀ And our new shade structures are giving students a more comfortable place to enjoy time outside.

These improvements are more than just new additions to our campus….they’re creating more opportunities for our students to play, connect, explore, and make memories together. 🦁❤

Our 6th grade students are learning all about space this nine weeks!

Recently, students were given a choice board with multiple assignments to choose from, allowing them to explore the topic in a way that interested them most.

Several students chose to create models of the solar system, a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse, and the Saturn V rocket. Others chose drawing and research assignments.
Check out some of their awesome creations!

Thank you Mrs.Spencer for keeping science fun, engaging, and hands on for our students. 🔭🌎

A well deserved lunch for our Pocosin staff!♥️

Thank you to Black Dirt Coffee Shop and Cafe for the delicious grilled chicken sandwiches and The Coastal Squeeze for the refreshing lemonade! We loved treating our staff to a great lunch while supporting two local small businesses in our community.🍋🍽️

We’re grateful for the wonderful businesses that help make our community so special. Supporting local and small businesses is one of the ways we can continue to grow together!🦁🌾
