📣 Reminder: No School September 4 & 7

Creswell School District will have no school on Friday, September 4, and Monday, September 7. All district offices will also be closed on both days.

We hope our students, families, and staff enjoy the long weekend! We’ll see everyone back at school on Tuesday, September 8.

Teamwork, problem-solving, and a little bit of classroom adventure! 🪱🌊🍝

Mrs. Vreeland’s 3rd graders jumped into some fun hands-on challenges during their first week of school!

First up: Save Fred! 🛟
Fred the gummy worm was enjoying a boat ride in his plastic cup when a BIG wave came along and capsized his boat! 😱 His life jacket (a Life Saver) slipped underneath the boat, leaving Fred stranded on top. And there’s just one problem… Fred can’t swim!

Working in teams, students had to figure out how to rescue Fred and get his life jacket back on him using only four paper clips. No hands allowed! 🤔 Students had to communicate, collaborate, problem-solve, and think creatively to save their gummy-worm friend.

Then came the Spaghetti Tower Challenge! 🍝🏗️ Teams worked together to build a tower using spaghetti, putting their creativity, communication, and teamwork to the test.

What a great way to start the school year! Learning that sometimes the best solutions come when we work together, try new ideas, and don't give up! 💙

Our custodial crew has all the right moves—on the job and off the clock! 😎

This summer, our custodians and summer crew took their talents to the miniature golf course for a little friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and some seriously impressive putting skills. ⛳😂

We are so grateful for the people who work behind the scenes every day to keep our schools clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for our students and staff. Your hard work makes a difference every single day!

Today, we're celebrating YOU!👏

🎉 “I LOVE THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!” 🎉

Our Creslane students arrived this morning ready to kick off a brand-new school year, with smiles, excitement, backpacks in tow, and plenty of enthusiasm for what’s ahead. 📚✏️

One student summed it up perfectly while walking through the doors: “I love the first day of school!” ❤️

We couldn’t agree more. Here’s to a fantastic year of learning, growing, making new friends, and creating memories together!

🐾 Welcome to CHS, Freshmen! 🐾

Today, our incoming freshmen got their first real taste of life as Creswell High School Bulldogs! ❤️🖤

Students had the opportunity to meet and get to know CHS staff, mingle with their new classmates, and jump into an interactive game led by our CHS Leadership students. They also spent time working in small groups, building connections and preparing for the year ahead.

Starting high school is a big milestone, and we loved seeing our newest Bulldogs bring energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. We can’t wait to see all they accomplish this year!

The first day of middle school is a big one, and our newest Tigers got a warm welcome this morning! 💚💛

The CMS Cheer team and our Tiger mascot were on hand to greet our 6th graders as they arrived, helping kick off their first day with plenty of smiles, school spirit and Tiger pride! 🐯📣

🏈Safety is part of the game.

At the recent Bulldog Showcase, our CHS Football players showed off a new piece of equipment designed with player safety in mind: Guardian Caps.💪

Guardian Caps are soft, padded covers that fit over a football helmet. They are designed to absorb and reduce some of the force from helmet-to-helmet and other head impacts, helping to reduce the impact forces athletes experience during play.

While no piece of equipment can eliminate the risk of concussion, reducing the force and frequency of head impacts is an important part of creating a safer football environment.

We’re proud to see our CHS Football program investing in additional safety measures for our student-athletes. And the commitment doesn’t stop there! CMS Football is working toward having a full team set of Guardian Caps as well, extending that same focus on player safety to our younger athletes. 🐾🏈

😲You can really see it now!

Steel is rising at Creswell High School, and the size of our new CTE (Career & Technical Education) Building is becoming hard to miss! 👀

At approximately 20,000 square feet, this new space will add incredible opportunities for students to explore hands-on learning, career pathways and the skills that prepare them for life beyond high school.

And this is just one piece of the transformation happening across the CHS campus. With projects taking shape all around us, there is so much to look forward to as we continue investing in safe, modern spaces designed with student learning and success in mind.

The future is taking shape......and it’s BIG. 🏗️🐾
