🎒📚 BACK-TO-SCHOOL COMMUNITY DAY THIS SATURDAY! 🎉

Join the Oldham County Detention Center Back-to-School Community Day!

Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day featuring:

🎒 Free backpacks & school supplies (while supplies last)
✂️ Free haircuts
🌭 Free hot dogs, chips & popcorn
🏰 Bounce houses
🚒 Emergency vehicles & community organizations
🥤 Shakes and more!

🎟️ The first 70 students who arrive and don’t want to wait in line for a haircut will receive a FREE haircut voucher courtesy of Backroad Barber or Downtown Barber 502.

A huge thank you to all of our community partners, volunteers, and sponsors for helping make this event possible. We can’t wait to see everyone there as we help our students get ready for a successful school year!

Today was a wonderful day of learning, growing, and collaborating!

Our Crestwood Elementary team had the opportunity to partner with our friends at La Grange Elementary for a day of professional learning focused on Conscious Discipline. Together, we explored ways to deepen our understanding of meeting children with calm, building strong connections, and creating safe, supportive classrooms where every child can thrive.

As educators, we know that learning never stops. Taking time to refine our practices and grow together helps us better support our students—not just academically, but socially and emotionally, too.

One of the best parts of the day was collaborating with another school, sharing ideas, and learning alongside one another. We left feeling inspired, encouraged, and even more excited for the year ahead!

The countdown to welcoming our students back is on, and we’re hard at work preparing for an incredible school year. We can’t wait to open our doors, reconnect with our Cougar families, and make this our best year yet!

🚧🚧 Pardon our dust…but we have an exciting new addition coming to our playground for the 2026-27 school year! Our district team is working hard to install a new obstacle course for our Cougars! 🚧🚧

The gym was filled with smiles as teachers reunited with former students, friends found each other after a summer apart, siblings walked in excited for a new year together, and everyone eagerly discovered their new teacher assignments.

There is something so special about the energy of Registration Day. It’s the beginning of new friendships, new opportunities, and another year of growing together as a Crestwood family! 💙💛💙💛

We are so grateful for our friends/family with NECC who stopped by to give our campus a major refresh before the start of the school year! Looking forward to seeing all of our Cougars back soon! (But first, Cougar Connect Day tomorrow 🐾)
