The end of the school year didn’t stop several of our members from making music at various concert band camps across the region! Whether is was at IUS, U of L, or WKU, these Patriots continued to hone their craft and represent East with pride! Bravo kids!

Thank you, EOMS Band Family, for such a rewarding and memorable school year! I find it difficult to express how proud I am of our students for such a memorable year!
I especially want to congratulate our 8th graders who poured such effort into making this year a success! Their willingness to be pushed and pestered toward excellence has set a high high standard of performance that others will reach to match for years to come!
Thank you to all of our band families for volunteering their time and talents to help make this year a success. Band doesn’t happen without parents and families helping us make it happen!
This year was marked by straight Distinguished ratings for all bands at KMEA Assessment, ASBDA naming the EOMS Symphonic Band as a “Band of Highest Distinction,” numerous Distinguished Solos and Ensembles at KMEA Festivals, and the first ever EOMS performance at the KMEA Conference.
Let’s meet back in August to see how we can continue to build with wonderful band program! I hope all of you have a restful summer! Thank you all. Go Patriots!

This last week our band program wrapped up the year with a fantastic Spring Concert! Our 6th Grade Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band all displayed such incredible musical growth this year and it was wonderful sharing their skill with our band family!
Thank you to our 8th graders, for the gifts they shared with me, as well as for the three years of hard work and incredible dedication they are showcased. They will truly leave the band program better than they found it!
And yes, I did conduct with multiple lightsabers. Only appropriate for a concert on May the 4th. What a year! What a great group of kids! Go Patriots!

Congratulations to these fine young musicians! This group of 6th grade band members spent their Saturday at the KMEA District 5 Beginning Honor Band with over 100 other students from the surrounding area and put on a full concert after only a few hours of rehearsal! Bravo to you all! You certainly made East proud!
