Dear Camp Bookworm Parents:
We are drawing near to the last day of Camp Bookworm. It’s been our pleasure to teach all of the kids reading and writing skills this year.
Each child is a gift to us. The skills they learned will be with them forever. Your binder is our gift to you. Please take this with you and Friday. Please read through the pages of the binder with your child. This is an OG program at your fingertips to use to help your child succeed. We are also available for tutoring after July 25th.
Tonight we have a guest story teller coming at 7:30pm to read a lovely story to the class.
Thursday night, June 18, 2026, we have a very special Kentucky themed craft project to work on in class. Alicia Bradley will be playing the Dulcimer at 7:30pm as our guest musician. The Dulcimer is native to Eastern Kentucky. Thank you Alicia for teaching us about the Dulcimer and playing beautiful music. Today, the dulcimer is celebrated in Eastern Kentucky as a symbol of Appalachian heritage.
Friday night our students will graduate from Camp Bookworm. We are proud of their tremendous accomplishments learning to read and write at Camp Bookworm. We love what we do and are honored to have had this opportunity.
Please arrive about 7:45pm. Quietly enter the building and have a seat in the chairs on the perimeter. It’s best if everyone can have a seat. At 8pm, our children’s graduation begins promptly. Please email me today a total for guests for graduation. We provide appetizers and desserts to celebrate our students amazing accomplishment.
If two parents can stay after on Friday to move tables back to the church setup style, vacuum and pick up trash, we would be grateful.
Thank you again.
Ms. Jill, Mrs. Paula and Mrs. Margaret
