We will be having a special called meeting October 8th at 5pm at the Arvin Center to discuss the moral instruction statute, KRS 158.200. The intent will be to vote on this matter at the conclusion of this meeting.

Reminder: Friday, August 29, 2025 is a Staff Work Day. School is not in session for students.

As a reminder, NTI is not limited to weather events but can be used for widespread illness. Today, we had more than 1700 students, 200 staff, and 15 transportation employees absent due to illness, and many more students and staff have fallen ill throughout the day.

It’s back for year 2! Come see over 125 inflatables at the South campus. Dec 21 and 22 from 5:30-8:30pm. $10 per carload. Proceeds benefit SOMS PTO and Blessings in a Backpack.

I was thrilled to witness the huge celebration held at OCHS today celebrating their huge jump in KSA scores and other academic achievements. Big shoutout to principal Dr. Natalie Brown for putting it together and SRO Tracy Witt for his stunning performance with the dance team. Congratulations to all of the students and the great teachers and staff taking care of our kids each and every day.
