We lost another classmate last week, Valorie Beavers.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the OCHS Class of 1981 40th Reunion a smashing success! I am planning to delete this event page on Friday 11/5/21 because we have begun to get lots of spammy posts on it. Please keep in touch through the Class of 81 page for future information and gatherings.

I just received confirmation from Mr. Pete Kirven, he and his wife Diane are coming to our reunion! (Freshman English teacher for many of us, and tennnis coach) Honored that he wants to hang with us 🙂

Just to clarify, invitations will not be mailed and nor are individual messages planned. If you graduated from OC in 1981, or were in our class at any time, YOU'RE INVITED! Please make your plans to attend and RSVP to help us out. There is info on our page about the block of hotel rooms should you need overnight accommodations. And SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!

Eric Wolf asked a group of us to work together to find a place in Oldham County to have our reunion on Sat, Aug 28th. We considered many places and short-listed a couple, but after further research we have decided on Ernesto's in LaGrange. They can offer us a private room and a adjacent patio area that will seat 100 people for FREE, with the understanding that we buy our food and drinks from them. This will give more people the opportunity to attend because it is affordable and local. Everyone will order from the regular menu and be responsible for their own expenses. Please RSVP to this post or in a private message to this event page so we can get some idea how many to expect and we can let Ernesto know. Thanks to ALL who have worked to get a plan together!
