The International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) Community Event is a free, family-friendly event that brings together community members, service providers, and local organizations to raise awareness about substance use, reduce stigma, honor those lost to overdose, and connect individuals and families with prevention, treatment, recovery, and support resources.

Today, we were honored to host another high school student from Okaloosa County through the Public Health Scholars Program.

With today’s visit, four students have now participated in the Health and Hope Clinic experience, gaining valuable exposure to compassionate, community-based healthcare.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteer providers, staff, and West Florida AHEC for investing in and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
