⚠️ Important reminder: Students cannot be seen or receive services in the school clinic—including routine clinic visits, first aid, and other health services—unless the Annual Student Medical Information & Parent Consent Card has been completed through the Parent Portal.
Help us provide safe and timely care for your child during the school day. All families must complete the Annual Student Medical Information & Parent Consent Card online through the Focus Parent Portal.

🚗 Morning Car Rider Reminders for Southside Families! 🐯💙

Thank you for helping us keep our morning arrival line safe, moving, and considerate of our neighbors and local businesses!

🔹 DO NOT enter from the light at Ferdon/Highway 85 and Cane Avenue. Please follow the route shown on the map.

🔹 DO NOT stop or block Highway 85/S. Ferdon Blvd. If the car rider line has backed up to the highway, please continue driving and circle back.

🔹 Please DO NOT block the entrances or driveways of neighboring homes or businesses. Our Southside neighbors need to be able to safely enter and exit their property.

🔹 If your child is having a difficult morning and needs a little extra time getting out of the vehicle, please pull safely to the right so we can assist you without holding up the car rider line.

We know mornings can be busy, and we appreciate everyone doing their part to keep our students, families, staff, and community safe. 💙🐯

🚗 Morning Arrival/Drop-Off Map

For VPK and Elementary morning drop-off, please follow the blue route shown on the map:

Enter E. Cane Avenue and travel east toward S. Brett Street.
Turn left onto S. Brett Street and continue north alongside the school.
Follow the blue route straight up S. Brett Street toward the designated school drop-off area.
After dropping off your child, please continue forward and follow staff directions for exiting.
Please do not block neighboring driveways or stop along the route.

🐯 Reminder: VPK and Elementary students may be dropped off beginning at 7:30 a.m. Students eating breakfast should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m.

Thank you for following the traffic pattern and helping us keep our Tiger Cubs safe! The first few days may take a little longer, so please pack some extra patience—we’ll get faster each day! 🩵🐯

BLUE LINE is VPK – 2:00 p.m.: Follow the red route on S. Brett Street.

RED LINE is Elementary & VPK Siblings – 2:30 p.m.: Enter from S. Pearl Street, turn onto E. Cane Avenue, and follow the blue route to S. Brett Street.

Southside Families, we are SO excited to welcome our Tiger Cubs back tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11th! 🎉📚 Please review these important arrival and dismissal reminders as we prepare for a great first day!

🌅 MORNING ARRIVAL

🍎 VPK & Elementary Students
• Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:30 a.m.
• Students who plan to eat breakfast must arrive no later than 7:45 a.m.
• FIRST DAY ONLY – Tuesday, August 11: Parents may walk their child to the classroom. 🩵
• Beginning Wednesday, August 12, we will transition to student drop-off only.

🚌 Pre-K D Arrival – 8:10 a.m.
• Drop-off begins at 8:10 a.m. each morning.
• Use the BACK of the school – MIDDLE GATE ONLY.
• Please wait until all buses have cleared the ramp before approaching.

🏡 AFTERNOON DISMISSAL

🚌 1:10 p.m. – Pre-K D Car Riders
• Dismissal begins promptly at 1:10 p.m.
• Please wait for the buses to completely leave the ramp before walking up to pick up your child.

🐯 2:00 p.m. – VPK Dismissal 1st Gate (remain in your vehicle)
• Please follow the attached dismissal map for directions and traffic flow.

🎒 2:30 p.m. – Elementary & VPK Siblings 1st Gate (remain in your vehicle)
• Elementary students and VPK students who have elementary siblings will dismiss at 2:30 p.m.
• Please follow the attached map for the correct traffic pattern.

🚗 A LITTLE FIRST-WEEK PATIENCE, PLEASE!
The first few days of dismissal always take a little extra time as our youngest Tiger Cubs learn their dismissal numbers—and some are still learning their first and last names! 🥰 Please be patient with our students and staff. We promise—it gets MUCH faster as everyone learns the routine!

🏠 Please be respectful of our Southside neighbors and do not block driveways while waiting in the car line.

🎉 What an amazing Meet Your Teacher Day at Southside Primary! 🐯

A heartfelt thank you to all of our Southside families who joined us for Orientation today! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, excited Tiger Cubs, and families reconnecting as we kick off a brand-new school year.

Our teachers and staff have spent countless hours preparing classrooms, organizing learning spaces, and making sure every student feels welcomed, safe, and excited to learn. Their hard work and dedication truly shine, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all they do.

Now the countdown is on! We can’t wait to welcome our Tiger Cubs back for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 11. It’s going to be an incredible year of learning, growing, and making memories together.

Do you love working with children and want to make a difference every day? Southside Primary School is looking for a caring, dependable Daycare Worker to join our Tiger Cub family!

Position Details:
• 12-month position
• 7.5 hours per day
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience and/or training working with children preferred

As part of our team, you'll help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for our students by assisting with daily activities, supervising children, supporting student care needs, and helping create a positive experience for every Tiger Cub.
