Good morning,

Riverside parents and families.

This morning, our school briefly initiated a precautionary response following an unexpected alarm activation.

Our staff immediately followed established safety protocols, and it was quickly determined that the activation was caused by a mechanical issue.

The situation has been resolved, our safety protocols have been lifted, and we have resumed normal school operations.

We apologize for the brief interruption to our school day and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Please know that the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority.

Good afternoon, Eagle Families,

Due to the possible weather conditions and out of an abundance of caution, we will be following our rainy day dismissal procedures this afternoon.

For the safety of all students, walkers will need to be picked up through the car rider line and will not be released through the walker gate today. We know this may make dismissal a little longer than usual, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure every child gets home safely. Thank you for your partnership and support.

Parents,

We’ve had to adjust dismissal today due to weather arrival.

Walkers are being dismissed only to their parents. They will not be able to walk home at this time due to the weather. A call out will go out shortly as well.

Car dismissal has been improving each day. A few reminders for our parents and Shoal River Middle School parents.

For Shoal River Middle School pick up:

Parents waiting to pick up students after school may stop on the Shoal River car ramp on the Gym side of the building only if they are actively participating in the carline.
Please note:
✅ Vehicles may wait on the Gym-side car ramp as part of the dismissal carline.
❌ Vehicles parked on the Media Center side of the car ramp will be asked to move to a designated parking space.
❌ Parking on the car ramp and leaving your vehicle is not permitted.
✅ If you need to exit your vehicle, please park in a marked parking space.

For Riverside Elementary School pick up:

Both lanes will be utilized to enter the car pick up line, and merge as shown in the diagram.

❌ Vehicles picking up Riverside Elementary School students should follow car line procedures.
❌ Parking on the car ramp and leaving your vehicle is not permitted.
✅ If you need to exit your vehicle, please park in a marked parking space.

Congratulations to our SOARing eagles 🦅 and thank you for an amazing first week at Riverside. Our new lunchroom system is going off without a hitch, thanks to our amazing teachers and administrators. Go eagles!
