Lost and Found

On a table down the hall,
Where forgotten treasures rest,
There are jackets, shoes, and lunchboxes—
Things that once were someone’s best.

A water bottle stands alone,
A sweatshirt wonders every day,
“Will someone come and take me home?”

A pencil case, a pair of gloves,
A backpack left behind,
So many little things are waiting,
Hoping they will be easy to find.

So if you’ve lost something at school,
Don’t worry, don’t despair.
The Lost and Found might have your treasure
Sitting patiently right there!

And when you find what you have lost,
Remember one thing, too:
Check the Lost and Found
You never know what you’ll find there waiting for you!
