We will be offering a Mt. Ayr class starting in two weeks. This is going to be a smaller class and would be great for an open enrolled student who isn't in a Fall sport. Please contact Kevin Cooper for more information.

Just a reminder that our last class of the Summer starts Friday July 10th at Creston MIDDLE SCHOOL (805 Academic Ave. Creston Iowa). This class is open to students from all communities. We will have between 20-25 students in this class. Class will be done before Iowa's "Quiet Week (no activities for the last week of July)." Students will be able to work around their own vacation, fair, and work schedule as we work through our drive hours. Our goal will be to be completely done with all driving hours within five weeks.

If your student went to Creston Community Schools last year, you must register with Virginia Halan at the Creston High School. If your student went to St. Malachy, Mayflower, Homeschool, or any other town, then they are considered open enrolled an must register directly through Kevin Cooper.

Clarification Post:

We have been taking a lot of calls lately in regards to parent taught Driver's Ed. We are unable to support parents who sign up for parent taught DE. We have had a lot of requests to drive with students who aren't enrolled in our class.

While Parent Taught Driver's Ed has been successful for some, it can also be quite challenging with deadlines for both the classroom and the driving expectations.

Parents are more than welcome to sign up for our upcoming courses, but any issues with the parent taught DE must be dealt with whichever course you selected from the Iowa DOT approved list.

Our next three classes are set and ready to roll. Tuesday of this week we start at Nodaway Valley High School from 9:00-12:00 and then at Murray from 1:30-4:30 on the Tuesday as well. There is still time to sign up for both classes. A pretty quick class schedule - we will finish drive time as we can.

Our last class of the Summer is in Creston and starts on Friday July 10th. Classes are at the Creston Middle School from 10:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. daily.

Contact Kevin Cooper if you have any questions or want to sign up for one of our last Summer classes.

FYI October / November is West Central Valley, Creston, Mt. Ayr classes.

Just a reminder that our Creston Driver's Education class starts Wednesday May 6th from 5:30-8:30 at the Creston Middle School. You can enter through the East Gymnasium Doors and we will gather in the commons. If you have OPEN ENROLLED your student for this class, you should have an email from me confirming that registration.

We have had several inquiries this week if there was still room in the class. We always make room for kids in our classes, so the answer is yes. We want you to take our class when it is convenient for your student.

Any questions can be emailed to [email protected]
