How many people have gone from their cable or satellite bill to all streaming to save money.

I know my family has. Satellite alone was $149. And we really only watched about 4 channels.

Drop that. Get the same 4 channels streaming for less than $30. It's going up to just under $35.

But so many of us have added so many streaming more streaming services.

Well, your favorite show is on this service. But oh, everyone is talking about this show on another service.

Go back and start adding up all those services. How much are you spending?

Are there some you only watch for one show? Most services don't have a commitment, so you can get it for the one or two months the new episodes are coming out and then stop the service until the show comes back.

Comment below about your experiences with streaming, cable or satellite.

Again, its impossible to save and hard to budget if you don't make enough money.

So, here's an idea for everyone who is creative in a digital space.

You can sell your digital art, pictures, and even words online. There are various market places for such things.

Remember, once the creating part is done, digital products only overhead is the market places and payment processor fees.

Print on Demand wall art and posters are a good start, if people like your art, platforms like Etsy and Gumroad let people pay for your art and print it at home to hang up.

Etsy (etsy.com) is probably the largest platform for this. There is a set up fee for your shop but the site is so popular, people may just stumble over your products and buy. Of course, nothing stops you from doing your own marketing.

Gumroad (gumroad.com) allows you to sells a more diverse amount of digital products including eBooks, courses, and memberships and does not have a setup fee.

You can self-publish your own books through sites that allow print on demand. So the book, and this can include traditional books, photo books, even comic books, isn't printed until the customer orders it. Still no up front cost from you.

Amazon offers to do this for self publishers and even adds the book to Kindle.

Lulu.com is a site I used to set up an eBook for someone else. Lulu allows sales from their site with a higher return than Amazon and allows the author to open the book up for distribution to Amazon and other book stores. While selling direct from Lulu produced a good amount of money, if the book was sold through global distribution the royalties only came to $1-2 dollars for that sale.

So everyone out there, do you have a digital product you could sell?

be Almost everyone is feeling this picture right now.

Prices go up and wages stay the same.

I know it says budgeting and saving in the name of the page, but it really has to go farther.

I can tell you that your mortgage + HOA or your rent should be 25% of your monthly take home or less. But when the cheapest rent is 50-75% of the average take home pay, that isn't going to fly.

I can say don't get a car loan or lease a car. But when you have no money and need a car to go to work, what are you going to do?

I can say save for the future, save to retire, save for your kids' education. But when you're just trying to keep a roof over your head, food on the table, the heat and lights on; tomorrow isn't the focus. Today is.

I have a certificate to coach personal finance from Dave Ramsey. And his methods work. If you have the money to make it every month.

I will be showing his method, expect me to quote him.

I will definitely say debt will destroy your finances. (Trust me I had to file bankruptcy).

But again, car loan or sit at home and rot? I think I'm picking a car loan.

I have spent most of the last 7 years self employed using Uber mostly for income. Then Covid happened, then inflation, then family emergencies, then Uber got greedier, and so on.

So, I'm not only going to talk about budgets, saving and debt; I'm going to talk about side hustles, making money beside the job.

I'm giving all the content away free here on Facebook.

If you find it useful, you can leave a tip at https://ko-fi.com/chadanderson2

If you want one on one attention, I will be offering on hour online sessions. I'll drop a link for those later.

But now for the challenge:

Track what you spend this month, so we can start building a budget.

Dave Ramsey's story is inspiring to me. He went from bankruptcy to success. He has helped millions get out of debt.

I learned money management from his radio show. I even invested in his Financial Coach Master Class to learn to help others. And I'm saying the same thing as Dave, "Stay out of debt, have an emergency fund, live on less than you make."

I'm doing it closer to home, the same way he started out.

A candid conversation with Dave on what it takes to start and scale a business, what he’s learned along the way, and his future plans for Ramsey Solutions.Su...
