The Senate’s spending package could offer up nearly 300 million acres of public lands for sale—a vast area that includes nearly 100,000 miles of trails, 8,232 climbing areas, and 3,405 river miles across the West.

🌼 Huge thanks to our amazing EMBA volunteers! 🌼
On Saturday, June 7, a dedicated crew spent three hours working along the Mt. Crested Butte Rec Path, removing invasive plants like Winter Cress, Pennycress, and Scentless Chamomile. These aggressive species are crowding out our beautiful native wildflowers and disrupting the natural balance of our ecosystem.

Unlike species on the state’s noxious w**d list, these invaders aren’t managed by counties, towns, subdivisions, or land trusts—so it's up to us. Disturbed areas like trails, roads, and construction sites are especially vulnerable to their spread.
With your help, we’re making a difference one w**d pull at a time!

Stay tuned—EMBA will be hosting another invasive w**d pull later this summer, and we’d love to have you join us. Every pair of hands helps protect the wildflowers we all cherish.
