School Readiness: Tip Five
Plan ahead! if you know there is an upcoming class or subject field that will be challenging for your child, reach out now to ELTC and set up tutoring in advance. Doing so will allow you to get the tutoring times that work best for you & your student. Planning ahead will also allow us to match your child with a tutor for their specific needs based on availability.

School Readiness: Tip 4
Talk to your child about the start of the school year. After the (expected) groaning and mumbling, ask them if they can articulate what they are looking forward to (there's always something) and what they are nervous about.
This conversation will allow you to be more prepared as issues arise with the start of school.

School Readiness, Tip Three:
Start incorporating Family Dinner (or family breakfast) once or twice a week.
Although the days are long and it is tempting to let everyone run wild until sundown, introducing this bit of structure will help your child make the transition once the first week of school hits.

Back to school readiness, Tip Two:
Get your child back in the habit of reading every day.
Even 20 minutes a day of reading will activate their brains, prepping them to start absorbing information again.
Bribe them if you have to.. 😎

Two weeks until school starts!
We're sharing our top 6 tips for getting everyone in the house ready and prepared to be back in the classroom.
Tip One;
Slowly introduce a bit more regimented schedule. Perhaps a "school night" bedtime would be appropriate for younger kids. Start to set those alarm clocks for an hour earlier every week for the next 2 weeks, counting backward to school day wake-up time.
