Video Description: Setting & Background: The video features a flat, solid dark blue studio background that provides a high-contrast environment designed to make hand movements easily visible. On-Screen Talent: Centered in the frame is a young woman with red hair and glasses. She is wearing a simple, solid black t-shirt, which serves as a neutral backdrop against her skin tone to maximize the clarity and readability of her signing. Action: She is actively communicating using American Sign Language (ASL), utilizing natural facial expressions and fluid hand gestures. Framing: The video uses a medium shot, framing the presenter from the waist up to fully capture her signing space (the area from the top of the head to the waist). Overlay: In the bottom-left corner of the screen, the official Mount Aloysius College ASL/EI logo is displayed. Logo Colors: The logo features the college's distinct blue and white color scheme.

Hands up, voices off!

Today, Ms. Duffy, hosted the annual ASL Immersion for sophomores and juniors in the Mount Aloysius College American Sign Language/English Interpreting program.

This dedicated time is the perfect opportunity to dive back into the ASL/EI program by strengthening visual-spatial skills, building fluency, using classifiers, and showing off what the students learned during the summer.

Thank you, Ms. Duffy, for creating this immersive space where language and culture come first. Proud of our future interpreters!
