Today, some of our team had the chance to show up and support one of our very own, Erin Rockwell, at the Community Garden Ribbon Cutting and Check Presentation benefiting the YMCA Kids Summer Camp Program! ❤️

As part of her leadership program, Erin and her team created KidVentures, a project that completely renovated the local YMCA’s community garden AND raised nearly $30,000 to support kids in our community. 🌱

We talk a lot about impact at RedefinED, and that impact extends far beyond the schools we serve. We’re incredibly proud of Erin for investing her time, leadership, and heart right here at home.

Growing gardens. Growing opportunities. Growing communities. 💚

We love seeing our team make a difference, and we love supporting the communities that have supported us.

Right now, at almost 8:00 at night, we have three RedefinED team members at three different Back-to-School Nights, while another team spent the morning putting back to school boxes together for schools.

This is what partnership looks like to us.

We don’t want to simply work for our schools. We want to work alongside them. That means showing up for the meetings, the events, the families, and yes, the Back-to-School Nights.

Tonight, our team is out in school communities talking with families, educating them about tax credit scholarships, answering questions, and helping our school partners build stronger programs from the ground up.

As RedefinED continues to grow across the country, this is something we never want to lose:

Be there. Show up. Become part of the school community.

Another very well-deserved promotion at RedefinED! 🎉

We’re excited to announce that Jason Shearman has officially been promoted to Relationship Manager!

Jason has been awesome. Truly.

He has stepped up, learned quickly, taken ownership, and consistently shown us that he cares deeply about our schools, our team, and the work we’re doing. He’s exactly the kind of person you want representing RedefinED and building relationships with the schools we serve.

We always say that as RedefinED grows, we want our people to grow right along with it. There is nothing better than watching someone earn that next opportunity and getting to say, “You’re ready.”

Jason, you’ve absolutely earned this one.

We’re excited to officially welcome Britta Corle to the RedefinED School Advancement team as our new Operations & HR Coordinator! 🎉

Growth is exciting, but growing well takes an incredible amount of intentionality behind the scenes. As our team continues to expand nationally, Britta will help us strengthen the systems, processes, and people support that allow our team to do what they do best: serve schools exceptionally well.

She’ll play an important role in everything from onboarding and team support to HR and day-to-day operations, helping us make sure our internal infrastructure keeps pace with our growth.

We currently have 6 Assistant Relationship Manager positions available at RedefinED School Advancement. $40k-$45k/year + bonus! Hybrid role (mostly work from home).

But here’s the important part: these aren’t really “assistant” roles in the traditional sense.

Our ARM position is very much a Relationship Manager in training role. You’ll learn our schools, our programs, our systems, and how we serve our partners, with the expectation that successful ARMs will be ready to move into a Relationship Manager role within approximately six months.

We’re growing quickly, and we want to grow our people right along with us.

If you’re driven, resourceful, great with people, and looking for a place where there is real opportunity to build a career, apply!

Back-to-school season is here! 📚✈️

Over the next few weeks, the RedefinED team will be traveling all over the country, meeting with school leaders, visiting communities, and talking about what’s possible for the year ahead.

New students. New goals. New opportunities. And a whole lot of miles ahead for our team.

No matter where we are, the mission stays the same: helping schools raise more, grow more, and do more for the students and communities they serve.

This week reminded us what Commitment really means at our company.

One of our incredible team members experienced an unexpected medical emergency that required emergency surgery. There was no time to plan, transition responsibilities, or prepare. And almost immediately, something pretty incredible happened.

Her teammates stepped in.

They picked up schools. They shifted responsibilities. They took things onto already-full plates. They asked what else needed done. Not because anyone told them to, and certainly not because any of it was “their job,” but because one of our people needed us.

At RedefinED, Commitment is one of our Core Standards, and we intentionally define it as a two-way promise. We ask our team to commit to our mission, our schools, their teammates, and the work we have been entrusted to do. But in return, this company commits just as fiercely to them.

That promise matters most when life doesn’t go according to plan.

When someone who has given so much to our mission suddenly needs to step away, we want them to know their only responsibility is taking care of themselves. The rest of us will figure it out. We’ll carry a little more. We’ll rearrange. We’ll adapt. We’ll protect their seat and give them the space they need to heal.

We are incredibly grateful for the team members who immediately stepped forward this week and said, “We’ve got her.” That is leadership. That is commitment. And THAT is the culture we are building at RedefinED.

To our teammate: take all the time you need. Your team has you covered, your seat is waiting for you, and this entire company is praying incredibly hard for your healing and recovery. ❤️

And to the teammates carrying a little extra right now: we see you. We appreciate you. And never forget that the same promise applies to you.

What if private aviation could actually save our company money AND give our employees more time back with their families?

As RedefinED continues to grow, so does the amount of time our team spends traveling. And we’ve started asking ourselves whether there is a better way.

For many school visits, it could mean driving five hours for a one-hour meeting, staying overnight in a hotel, and driving another five hours home the next morning. That is essentially two days of an employee’s time for a one-hour meeting, plus mileage, meals, a hotel, and all the other costs that come with overnight travel.

Or… what if we could fly there, have the meeting, and have our employee back home by the time their kids get off the bus- all while supporting our local flight schools and airports?

This week, members of our team went to explore what a partnership with a local, private aviation company could look like for RedefinED.

Will it make sense for every trip? Of course not. But as our team travels more frequently and to more places, we believe part of growing responsibly means constantly asking how we can operate more efficiently while taking better care of our people.

Because an employee’s time has a cost to the company, but their time at home has a value that goes far beyond a spreadsheet.

If we can save money, serve our schools, and give our team more of their lives back in the process, that is absolutely worth exploring.

Hosted by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) ACSI USA as part of its Public Policy & Advocacy Summit, this symposium is bringing together leaders from across the country for important conversations around school choice, the new federal Education Freedom Tax Credit, implementation, and what this historic opportunity can mean for schools and families.

This is exactly the kind of conversation we believe matters right now.

The federal tax credit has the potential to unlock significant new resources for students and expand educational opportunity across the country, but strong policy is only the beginning. Successful implementation will require schools, scholarship organizations, policymakers, and practitioners to work together to turn that opportunity into real impact for families.

Today, our team had the opportunity to sit down for lunch with Greg Dolan, Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Education and someone working closely on the implementation of the new federal scholarship tax credit program.

It was an exciting conversation and an important one.

For the last several years, RedefinED School Advancement has been in the weeds of tax credit programs every single day. We’ve worked alongside schools, SGOs, contributors, businesses, families, and communities. We’ve seen what makes these programs successful, where implementation can become complicated, and what can unintentionally create barriers between a great policy idea and the people it is ultimately meant to serve.

Today, we had the opportunity to bring that on-the-ground perspective into a conversation with someone helping shape how this historic program moves from policy to implementation at the federal level.

There is something incredibly valuable about bringing policy and practice to the same table. Because successful policy isn’t just about what gets written. It’s about whether it can actually work when schools, families, contributors, employers, and organizations begin putting it into practice across the country.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share what we’re seeing, learn from Greg’s perspective, and be part of conversations focused on getting implementation right.

The potential of this program for students and schools across the country is enormous. And we’re excited to keep doing our part to help turn that potential into impact.
