I need to take a minute of your time to thank CUSB Bank for their mini grants each year! This year our 3rd and 4th grade artists were able to create prints with LEGO dots and have a fun black- light-glow-art day! New materials are always so inspiring to artists and we had so much fun thanks to CUSB.

We were able to finish Art Show this week of conferences and I am so proud of the hard work, perseverance, and overall dedication these kids displayed! Students pursued their OWN ideas, planned their project, problem solved, refined, and published their work with a voice recorded artist statement for display at conferences. Here are just a few highlights 🤩

First graders are so excited for the holidays! Printmaking, drawing, collage, beads, and sculpture are all tools we use to express ourselves!

First graders took the popsicles stick challenge with great success! Students got to show their creativity by transforming popsicle sticks into creatures and objects of their choice. They used problem solving, perseverance and patience to get their creations to stay together.

Looking for donations of string lights to cozy up the art room this year. Icicle lights, Christmas lights, even black lights! Anything that will plug in.
I ordered these light curtains to help make our florescent classroom more learner friendly but now our windowless art room is a little dim. I'm hoping a few lights will help cozy up the space. Thanks in advance!

Outside classroom these last few days of school for the younger grades, upper grades get to do the bulk of spring art supplies and restoring the classroom for the next school year!

Join us for the 4th annual Elementary Art Show on March 21 and March 23. The event will be held in the elementary cafeteria from 3pm-6:30 each night during parent teacher conferences. Come celebrate the results of our hard work and perseverance of our TK-6th grade artists such as Gavin's "Bamboo Panda" in third grade.
