Such a fun Homecoming Day!!! We had a Homecoming assembly to start our day. Caleb from 3C got to wear the King, Caleb Holzer’s crown! Maybe we have a future king?!?! Then we had lots of outdoor activities. And we wrapped up our day by watching the movie “Wind in the Willows” to celebrate the end of our reading unit.

Thank you so much to our Celebrity Reader, Elliott Steffen! She is a sophomore at Crestwood High School and visited 3C today. She talked about Homecoming week, color guard, and then read her favorite childhood book to us! Thank you Elliott!

Here’s Howie! He emerged today! We have one more chrysalis, hopefully he or she will emerge tomorrow before our long weekend!
The pictures are a progression of Howie over the last few days.

Meet Hank. He is our Monarch caterpillar that we got to watch make his chrysalis two weeks ago. Then on Monday he emerged as a beautiful Monarch butterfly. We released him so he could make his big trip to Mexico. Good luck Hank!
