Due to a supply chain issue we have had to make some adjustments todays menu.

Most sites will still be having Backyard burgers today.

The following sites will be receiving cheesy pull-a-parts with marinara: Crescent Elk, Sunset, DN Community, Mary Peacock, 'O Me-nok Learning Center and Smith River Preschool.

We apologize for the last minute change but things like this are often beyond our control and we do our best to make sure all students receive a delicious and nutritious lunch!

Today is the final day of our Seamless Summer meal program.
We want to thank all of our community partners, without their support we would not be able to do what we do!

Also, thank you to Spork Food Hub for bringing beautiful California grown produce up to Del Norte every week. There are beautiful heirloom tomatoes for distribution today!

And last but absolutely not least, a huge thank you to my AMAZING Nutrition Services staff for a tremendous summer! You are all fantastic!!

As we get ready to kick off week 3 of our Seamless Summer Meal program, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of our community partners. Without the support of those partners we wouldn't be able to feed as many children as we do. The rules of the programs can feel burdensome at times but compliance is critical to being able to continue to provide this program to our community. The Seamless Summer Program is an extension of our National School Lunch Program and is overseen by the California Department of Education.

I also want to acknowledge the amazing Nutrition Services staff who don't take the summer off. These folks keep working all summer to keep our kiddos fed!

Carrots, Full Belly Farm
Potatoes, Full Belly Farm
Lettuce, Brisa Ranch

Also, shelf stable whole milk and chocolate milk are included!!

With only 8 days of school left it is almost that time of year!

Seamless Summer Food Program will kick off two weeks from today on June 15th.

Meal distribution will happen on Monday and Wednesday from 11a to 12p at the sites listed on the flyers. There have been some changes this year so please check the list in advance and if you have any questions, please reach out.

You may also notice that there are no locations listed in Klamath that is because we are trialing a home delivery option for families with children and youth residing in Klamath.
