Hello Friends and Families!

Every year, we here at Del Norte Child Care Council strive to collect Halloween Costumes to give to our community's low-income families who may not be able to afford them. Of course, this is solely based on the amount of supply we have.

Our supply this year is quite low, so we are looking for new or slightly used costume donations for both children and adults, as we always encourage parents to dress up with their kids.

If you have any that you would like to donate, please drop off at the Del Norte Child Care Council at 212 K Street, Crescent City CA 95531, or schedule a pickup by calling us at 707-464-8311 or emailing Carissa at [email protected]

As students across Del Norte County head back to school, the CHP Crescent City Area reminds everyone to slow down and stay alert.

🚸 Watch for students walking and riding bicycles to and from school.
🚸 Obey all school zone speed limits and be prepared to stop for crossing guards and pedestrians.
🚸 Give bicyclists plenty of space and avoid distractions behind the wheel.

🚌 When a school bus displays flashing red lights and its stop arm is extended, California law requires drivers to stop and remain stopped until the lights stop flashing and students are safely clear of the roadway.

The first day of school is exciting for students, parents, and teachers. Let’s all do our part to ensure every child arrives safely and returns home safely.
