SUMMER ACTIVITIES
4th of July Parade & Celebration
It’s our nation's 250th Birthday. Enjoy the festivities downtown starting with the parade, festivities at Beachfront Park and the fireworks at sunset.
Del Norte County Fair, August 6-9, Del Norte County Fairgrounds
Community Gardens, Visit one of the many community gardens and learn about horticulture.
Outdoor Activities, Explore the miles of beaches while looking for sea animals and finding treasures of driftwood, agates and seashells.
Redwood Forest, Enjoy miles of hiking paths that adorn Del Norte County. Discover streams, waterfalls and ancient trees that tower overhead. Maybe you’ll see a flying squirrel or discover a dotted slug. Perhaps you’ll see giant ferns and many beautiful flowers, there’s even one plant that eats bugs. Can you find it?
