So my phone was on the charger and we didn't get any pics that I know of. But tonight, we created individual burgers! We had a very large group of attendees! Great program!

The BBQ team took a break during Spring Break, Fair week, and last week due to a well needed rest for the adults.
We decided to try something different at practice today and grilled some chicken, pork chops, and pineapple steaks. We made wraps and everyone got to add the topings of choice. Thank you Brad Kay for all of the support and knowledge you provide these students.

Thank you Coach Ripley for arranging this event. Shannon Snell, Sonny's Pittmaster and former Gator football player, came to CCJSHS to do a BBQ demo for Flag Football this afternoon. Students and a few teachers and coaches got to sample some brisket, ribs, and strawberry shortcake. Shannon and our BBQ coach, Brad Kay got a chance to talk BBQ and they BBQ students were given some sauces to try in the future.

Raider Nation Q competed in their 1st BBQ competition this weekend. They placed 1st in Pro Ribs, 7th in Pro Pork , and 8th Overall Pro.
We'd like to thank Brad, Bethany, and Will for working with our students! We'd also like to thank the teachers and staff that came out to support the students, along with all of the other competitors for being so supportive!

We have another successful practice in the books. Students learned to prepare different types of ribs and learned about trimming butts.

Our 2nd practice is in the books! We are over capacity of the number of members, but that is a good thing! Again, Brad Kay had a great practice planned. This evening, we prepared and cooked drumsticks and added another step or two to the chicken thighs. And, of course, the students ate their homework!
