Celebrating Crayton Cessna! 🎉

We want to congratulate Crayton Cessna, Calvary Christian Academy’s recipient of Leadership Allegany Rising! We are so proud to see Crayton recognized for the incredible young man and leader he is becoming.

Crayton is a homeschool junior who has been working extremely hard this year. He is dual-enrolled and working toward graduating this year. Crayton has been a part of the Calvary family since preschool and has participated in many leadership programs throughout the years.

Crayton is also a dedicated firefighter at the Cresaptown Fire Department and Bedford Road VFD, where he has completed numerous classes and is always willing to help wherever he can. He truly has a servant’s heart and looks for opportunities to make a difference.

Coach Steve Robinette has had the privilege of coaching Crayton on the baseball field, and he has witnessed firsthand the kind of leader Crayton is. Coach Steve says he could barely get the van stopped before Crayton would jump out to lend a hand to the men working on the baseball fields. 😂 That is just Crayton—always ready to help, always willing to serve, and never afraid to work.

Crayton, we are so proud of you! Thank you for investing your time, talents, and heart into our community. Thank you for being a part of our CCA homeschool family and for showing others what true leadership and servant-heart look like.

🎪❤️ The Little Eagles went to the circus today, and what a beautiful day it was! ❤️🎪

There is something so special about hearing the laughter of children. Today, our halls were filled with smiles, excitement, and memories that these little ones will carry in their hearts for years to come. Our wonderful Ringmaster, Ms. Amy, transformed our day into a fun-filled carnival with games, giant carnival balls, bubbles, animals, lollipops, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and so many special surprises. Watching the joy on each child's face reminded us that sometimes the simplest moments become the greatest blessings.

But the greatest gift we shared today wasn't the prizes or the treats—it was the truth found in God's Word.

Our Bible lesson was about JOY. We talked about how true joy doesn't come from the things we have or even from the good days we experience. Real joy comes from knowing Jesus. Life isn't always easy, even for little hearts, but because Christ lives within us, we can choose joy through every circumstance. Our prayer is that these precious children will grow up knowing that the joy of the Lord is their strength and that His love will always be the reason they smile.

Every hug, every laugh, every prayer, every Bible lesson, and every memory made here points these children to Jesus. That is why we do what we do.

Thank You, Lord, for the incredible blessing of Calvary Christian Academy. Thank You for entrusting these precious lives to us. Thank You for our amazing families, faithful teachers, and the opportunity to plant seeds of faith that will last for eternity.

Please Welcome CCA's New Soccer Program! 🦅

Calvary Christian Academy is excited to announce the launch of our new soccer program!

Please join us in welcoming Coach Angelo DeStefano and Coach Paul Cessna, who will be leading the Eagles on the field this season.

Coach Angelo DeStefano is a former student-athlete from Allegany High School, where he was heavily involved in both the football and track programs. He played on the Campers' offensive and defensive lines and is known for his strong leadership skills. Off the field, Angelo serves faithfully at First Baptist Church as an interim pastor and is actively involved in the youth ministry. His passion for mentoring young people and leading by example will be a tremendous asset to our athletes.

Coach Paul Cessna has been involved in the game of soccer for many years. He began playing in the ninth grade and continued competing in recreational leagues after graduation. His knowledge of the game extends beyond playing, as he has also served as a soccer referee throughout West Virginia and Maryland for many years. Coach Paul brings a wealth of experience and a genuine love for the sport.

We are excited to have these outstanding men as part of the Calvary Christian Academy athletic program!

⚽️ Our first soccer practice begins Monday, August 3rd, from 6:00–7:30 p.m.

Wow!! The Little Eagles Program has been staying busy, and what a wonderful summer it has been! 🦅☀️

This week ended with a bang as Ms. Amy and Ms. Emily put together a special Christmas party to finish celebrating Christmas in July! 🎄❤️ The children celebrated the greatest gift of all — the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Little Eagles had a surprise visit from the Gingerbread Man… and they caught him! 🍪 The children enjoyed playing games, eating pizza for lunch, and opening presents. It was a day full of laughter!!

A huge thank you to all of our parents who have shared this wonderful summer with Calvary Christian Academy. Your trust and support mean so much to us!

A special thank you to Ms. Amy and Ms. Emily for the incredible love, dedication, and hard work they show every single day. They truly shine the love of Christ through everything they do. ❤️

🎄✨ Little Eagles continued our Christmas in July celebration! ✨🎄

The children had a wonderful time singing Christmas songs and making Christmas ornaments.

Our Bible lesson was the greatest story ever told—the birth of Jesus Christ. Baby Jesus, our Savior, was born in a humble stable for all mankind. Wrapped in swaddling clothes, He came to bring hope, peace, and salvation to the world.

As we celebrate Christmas in July, let's continue to rejoice that because our Savior was born, we can have the gift of eternal life through Him. What a beautiful reason to celebrate—not just at Christmas, but every day of the year! ❤️✝️

🏐 Train with a Champion. Learn from a Leader.

Calvary Christian Academy is excited to welcome back Coach James O’Donnell as the leader of our volleyball program, along with Assistant Coach Jana McCumber. Together, they are an amazing duo!

Jana has been a tremendous asset to CCA over the past year, helping with player development while also bringing her experience as a homeschool mom and coach. We appreciate her incredible love, dedication, and support for our school and our volleyball girls.

Coach James was a member of the 2023 AMCC Championship team at Geneva College, helping earn a bid to the NCAA Men’s National Volleyball Championship Tournament. His team didn’t just excel on the court—they also earned repeated recognition for having the top academic performance in the conference, achieving the incredible distinction of being the #1 volleyball team and the #1 academic team in the conference at the same time.

Now, Coach James is bringing that same passion, discipline, and winning culture to CCA Volleyball.

Celebrating our Savior once again at Little Eagles Learning Center! ❤️🎄

Ms. Amy and Mrs. Chris broke out the baking sheets, and we spent the day baking all kinds of delicious cookies with our Little Eagles! The children had so much fun mixing the dough, cracking the eggs, and watching their tasty treats come together. Of course, everyone enjoyed sampling the cookies, and Ms. Amy made sure each child had plenty to take home and share with their families.

Our Bible lesson focused on Joseph. After an angel appeared to him in a dream, Joseph faithfully obeyed God and took Mary as his wife, trusting God's plan for the birth of Jesus. Joseph's obedience reminds us that God has a purpose for each of us, and when we trust Him, He will guide our steps.

As we continue celebrating Christmas in July, we're reminded that the greatest gift ever given wasn't found under a tree—it was the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who came to bring hope, love, and salvation to the world. We are so thankful to share His story with our Little Eagles each day! ❤️

🎄✨ Christmas in July has been so much fun at Little Eagles Learning Center! Everyone loves a little Christmas cheer, no matter the season.

Our children enjoyed watching Christmas movies, creating festive crafts, and making wonderful memories together.

Today's Bible lesson focused on the angel visiting Mary to tell her she would have a baby—not just any baby, but the Savior of the world. What an incredible reminder that God's greatest gift wasn't wrapped under a tree. Jesus came to save us, and that truth is worth celebrating every day of the year.

Just because it's July doesn't mean we can't rejoice in the greatest Christmas story ever told. ❤️✝️

🐾 Zoo Time!! 🦁🦒

Our Little Eagles Learning Group broke out of the classroom and headed to Hovatter's Zoo for a day full of fun and adventure! From feeding the animals to exploring God's amazing creation, it was a wonderful experience for everyone. The smiles on the children's faces—and even the adults'—made for a day we'll never forget!

We are so thankful for how the Lord continues to bless our little learning group. This summer has been filled with growth, laughter, learning, and lasting memories.
