We as the FLA Music Department are thrilled to invite you to a very special event at Falls Lake Academy's Art Expo on May 9th at 6:30 PM in the FLA High School Gym. Our talented FLA Bands and Guitar II Ensemble will be presenting the world premiere of "Firebirds," a captivating piece of music commissioned specifically for our school's MS and HS music programs in memory of Hailey Brooks, Nathan George, and Mr. Chris "THE BOSS" Williams.

"Firebirds," composed by the renowned band composer Randall D. Standridge, has never been heard or seen by anyone outside our school and the composer himself. This premiere is an exclusive opportunity to witness the debut of this unique composition, dedicated to celebrating the lives of these exceptional individuals and their impact on our community.

We invite you to join us for an evening filled with joy, triumph, and upbeat melodies—no somber music, just a celebration of the wonderful spirits these three amazing individuals brought into our lives.

Admission to the concert is free, but we kindly request that attendees bring a donation or canned goods for our food drive benefiting the local ACIM Food Pantry. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in our community.

Let's come together to honor their memory and enjoy a remarkable musical experience. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you Barry Hearn for working with our Band Department at FLA every year. If your group has any fundraising needs, please consider using Barry Hearn - Capital Funding Solutions

Our FLA Band Department is currently raising money in the form of an online Donation Platform from now until February 8th! We need your help! We are attempting to raise a total of $5,000 to help with the purchase of a few class sets of beginning instruments! We want to be able to give families the option of taking band if they otherwise would not be able to afford it. Any monies received that go may over our $5,000 goal will go straight to our program to help towards our goal of purchasing one more of each of the "starting" instruments (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, etc) to have in case a student needs one while theirs gets repairs or if they are not able to afford one themselves in our Middle School and High School Bands.

Dear FLA Staff and Families

I hope you are all doing well. I just wanted to give y’all some information about our fundraiser that just kicked-off last Thursday through Barry Hearn - Capital Funding Solutions. The Falls Lake Academy HS and MS Band Department has kicked off our InstaRaise Tumbler and Coffee Fundraiser through Capital Fundraising Solutions! We have many options to choose from like NCAA teams, MLB teams, and more. We also have 4 Custom FLA options to choose from. One option is a Special cork-bottomed 20oz tumbler celebrating that we just reached our 10th Anniversary as a school at the end of last school year. We also have a FLA 32oz Tumbler bottle with a straw. There are also two options for FLA Bands on there as well. Shop around and find something you like. ALL ORDERS CAN BE SHIPPED TO YOUR HOME! This helps if you have family out of state. If you do not want to purchase anything, but you would still like to donate, there are options to do that as well.

We will be fundraising in hopes to raise $7000 to go towards the purchase of classroom instruments (alto saxophones, trombones, flutes, clarinets, trumpets, etc.), and Solo and Ensemble music to build our music library for our students. Support Falls Lake Academy Band

— Pre-MPA Band Concert —
As a reminder, our Ms Bands and HS Wind Ensemble will be having a short concert (which will serve as a the HS Band’s pre-MPA performance) tonight in the HS Gym at 6:30.

We will be taking monetary Donations at the door to help the Band to go to MPAs, buy new instruments, and purchase music/supplies.

Also, we will be having a canned food drive. Our Band Concerts have always been free to the public, however we ask that your "price for attendance" be a donation of two canned goods. We will be donating all food to the local ACIM (Area Congregations in Ministry) The Food Bank
