Granville Early College High School is a partnership between Vance Granville Community College and Granville County Schools. Over the course of five years, students have the opportunity to complete their high school diploma and an Associate's Degree or up to two years of college transfer credit. GCPS students continue to make academic gains! 📈

Granville County Public Schools has reached its highest level of student proficiency in more than seven years, continuing a three-year trend of academic improvement.

Overall student proficiency has increased to 46.5%, the highest level in more than seven years. That’s an 8% increase in one year and a 13% increase over the past three years.
Even more encouraging, 12 of our 13 schools improved their proficiency compared to the previous year.

This progress reflects the continued work of our students and staff across GCPS.

Teacher Grants are back! 🍎

Couch Oil Cares is excited to kick off Year 2 of our Fueling Education Teacher Grant, supporting public school teachers who are bringing innovative ideas to life for their students.

Teachers in Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange, Person, and Wake counties are invited to apply for a $1,000 grant award.

The application window is September 1 - September 30, 2026.
