Yesterday 3 of our FFA members advanced to the final 4 for the Marketing Plan competition!!! These members worked with A&B Fresh Market to evaluate their business and write a marketing proposal for a value added product. They made a 15 minute presentation about their product and entertained 5 minutes of questions. We are super proud of their achievements and excited to hear our placing at 7:00 tonight at session. Tyriq had a great day today at the EMC Wiring Workshop. He learned how to draw out a wiring scenario and then put it into action. He was able to wire a light switch, light and receptacle. And all of it worked on the first go. Tyriq will continue to learn and compete in the EMC competition in January!

That’s a wrap! We have completed the 97th National FFA Convention and are headed home! On our last day we visited the career fair some more, heard from Temple Grandin, attended the rodeo and had a nice steak dinner. We are tired but have really enjoyed our week and made lots of great memories!

Today has been a nonstop day! Woke up early this morning and started out with shopping at the FFA Mega Store! Our great find was a tshirt that you can get a person from each state to sign. So then we spent the next few hours finding signatures. They had an opportunity to attend a workshop titled Getting to Know Yourself and learned about knowing your value. Afterwards we got some dinner from the Old Spaghetti Factory. Tonight we had a quiet and peaceful night after a crowded day with a bon fire, s’mores, carving pumpkin, and apple cider!
