After 30 incredible years of teaching, and pouring heart and energy into our students, our amazing PE coach, Kelly Corrigan, is hanging up the whistle and heading into retirement.

Coach Corrigan didn’t just teach games and fitness; she taught perseverance, teamwork, and confidence that students will carry long after they leave school. So many of us are better because of the time, care, and belief she puts into every single student.

Thank you for three decades of dedication and for making school a place where students felt seen, supported, and inspired. Wishing you a retirement full of well-earned rest, joy, and new adventures!

🚌 Summer School Bus Routes Are Now Available!

We're getting ready for another summer of learning in Wakulla County Schools!

Secondary Summer School Session 1 begins June 8 at Wakulla Middle School.
Third Grade Summer Reading Camp begins June 15 at Medart Elementary School.

Families can view the preliminary bus routes here: https://aptg.co/S-vYjD

Please note: These routes are preliminary and may be adjusted as enrollment changes. If your student's stop is not listed, please contact the Bus Garage for assistance.

Free summer meals begin today at four Wakulla County locations!

Families can visit Medart Elementary, Shadeville Elementary, Hamptons of Wakulla, or the NEW Wakulla Community Center starting today. Additional meal sites at Wakulla Middle School, the Wakulla County Library, and Riversink Elementary will open later this summer.

Students can take Accelerated Reader (AR) quizzes Monday through Thursday, June 8–July 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at:
• Medart Elementary
• Riversink Elementary
• Shadeville Elementary
• Riversprings Middle
• Wakulla Middle
Please note: Summer AR quizzes apply to word count only.

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to Panacea Waterfronts for generously providing Wild Ox coffee for our teachers and staff, and to Wakulla Giving Hands for supplying delicious bagels! ☕🥯

Your kindness made our morning extra special and was the perfect end of year treat for our amazing staff. We also appreciate the Wild Ox team for coming in bright and early to prepare the drinks.

Our students got to enjoy our last rewards from the Boosterthon fundraiser. Students enjoyed snow cones, an Educator Idol competition, and an inflatable teacher race that had everyone cheering!

Our 5th grade Mustangs celebrated the end of the year in with a fun-filled dance party! DJ Butch kept the music going while students enjoyed dancing, pizza, and a shirt-signing party.🕺👚🍕

Memorial Day Reminder 🇺🇸

All Wakulla County Schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.

Students and staff will return on Tuesday, May 26. Please note that Tuesday, May 26, and Wednesday, May 27, will operate on Early Release schedules.

We hope our families enjoy a safe and restful holiday weekend as we take time to honor and remember those who served our country.
