Announcements- September 4

Your 7th grade volleyball team lost to Fountain Central last night in two close sets. Overall they had 13 great serves over. Good job ladies

8th grade volleyball lost to the Fountain Central Mustangs last night in a hard fought 3 sets. Heidy Sarceno and Carli Bokhart both had 5 aces, and Aaleeah Carrel and Carli Bokhart both had great passes. Vera Gobel stepped up in a new position on the fly and worked hard.

Attention all artists! We have an opportunity to raise money for our Shield Trips by painting faces at the Farmer's Market on Saturday, Sept. 12th and Saturday, Oct 3rd from 8:00 to 1:00. Attention all artists! We have an opportunity to raise money for our Shield Trips by painting faces at the Farmer's Market on Saturday, Sept. 12th and Saturday, Oct 3rd from 8:00 to 1:00. If you would be interested in sharing your talent to raise money for our school by donating an hour of your time, please sign up with Ms. Pierce in Room 121!

Athletics- September 1

Boys tennis match is cancelled. Practice will be in the AR gym after school.

Football game at WEBO has been moved to a 7 PM start time. The bus will leave Hoover at 6 PM.

Cross Country meet is cancelled. Practice will be inside at CMS- meet by the concession stand

Boys and Girls Soccer practice is cancelled.

Volleyball practice is in the main gym.

Announcements- September 1

Boys soccer tied 2-2 with North Put in a hard fought game last night. Alex Hernandez scored the first goal for the Athenians. Jordan Carrillo scored a late second half goal to tie the game. The Athenians showed tremendous second half heart and grit!

Congratulations to the girls soccer team for beating North Putnam last night 7-0. Remy Cord scored 4 goals, and Ivy Freeze scored 3. Geenesis Valle-Zuniga had a shut-out in goal. The girls next game is Wednesday at Southmont. Great game ladies!

Students and staff the Travelin Toms Coffee Truck will be here tomorrow morning from 7:30-9. Stop by before school and get your favorite energy drinks or coffee. Drinks can be brought in and consumed in the LGI before heading to advisory. All proceeds benefit our PBIS fund.
