We are excited to welcome students back to school! During back to school open houses and Community Day, Oglethorpe County registered 45 new children for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library! Special thanks to Oglethorpe County Elementary School, Oglethorpe County Central Office, and Oglethorpe Children's Academy for hosting registration drives with us!

3K is off to a rip-roaring great start to the school year! Did you know that yellow paint hands can become the cutest pencil ever? Ms. Reece and Ms. Karli are already working hard to have these 3Kers ready for Pre-K next year!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AMERICA FROM OCA!

We have had a wonderful week celebrating America’s 250th birthday. From water slides, sweet book reading circles, red/white/blue fruit, flags, hats and glasses, patriotic pinwheels, and handprint art with our older classes, to red, white and blue trucks running through white paper in fun sensory bins for our youngest, we have had SO much fun!

We hope you’ll enjoy this as much as we did. We asked our kiddos, “WHY DO YOU LOVE AMERICA?” Here are a few of their answers:

“I love America because of my family and vacation and it’s awesome!”

“I love America because it has buses!”

Several loved America because it has fireworks and the beach.

“I love America because it has toys and bikes!”

“I love America because it has snakes!”

But, our all time favorite is from one of our 4-year-old handsome guys, who said:

“I love America because THE HULK lives here!”

OCA Sweet Summertime! We are having SO much fun with everything from water and bubbles EVERYWHERE play, classroom dances and reading books with our friends, to Magic Shows, picnics, team sports, OCA garden fresh grown little bites activities and celebrating America’s 250th birthday. Our days are filled with laughter and learning through a sweet OCA summertime!
