👏🏼👏🏼 BIG News!! Western Hills Middle School was recently recognized for being in the *TOP 5* among all middle schools in RI for improvement in attendance!! Thank you to our entire school community--including students, families, and staff--for all their hard work in achieving this milestone!

Our New Student Welcome is August 20th from 4:00-6:00 pm here at Western Hills. Our incoming sixth graders and any other new students can stop in at any time during those hours with their families. Students and families will have the opportunity to walk around the building, meet the administration, and possibly meet some of their teachers. Can't wait to see you!

Let's take a moment to recognize our "Morning Announcements" crew! Each morning these eighth-graders began our day with news, announcements, inspirational quotes, and the best "bad" jokes they could find! We will miss you!

On Tuesday, staff and students gathered in the auditorium to recognize Margie Santos, WHMS PTO President. Margie has been an outstanding PTO organizer and President while her three boys have progressed through our school. Her support for both students and staff has been exceptional and so appreciated! We wish Margie and all of her family the best as her youngest son moves on to high school. We will miss you, Margie! ♥️

📚🎉 Reading Challenge Champions! 🎉📚

A huge round of applause for our students who completed the Western Hills Reading Challenge: Annie Agresti, Sofia Clemente, Teyanna Dallas, Eliza Schaeffer, Juliana Sepulveda, Abigail Spitznagel, Lealah Switzer, and Emmi Yon. These students read 15 books between September and June, and had to turn in a form with the title, author, genre, and their recommendation for each book. 🌟 Your love of reading has helped you explore new worlds, discover new ideas, and grow as readers!
