Reverse hypers are one of, if not the most important exercise we do at The
TPC Strength System
There are 4 key reasons why lower back strength is important as an athlete
1. Core Stability: Your lower back is very important for strengthening and stabilizing your core. A strong core provides stability and balance, which are essential for almost every sport.
2. Power Generation: Many sports movements, such as running, jumping, and throwing, require power generated from the lower back.
3. Injury Prevention: A strong lower back can help prevent injuries. It supports the spine and helps maintain proper posture.
4. Flexibility and Range of Motion: The lower back contributes to the flexibility and range of motion needed for various sports. It allows for twisting, bending, and other movements essential in sports.
Reverse Hypers are a bread and butter exercise of our programs because of how essential your lower back is to sports. They may not be the most fun exercise, but they will pay off the most in the long run.
