Parents, the Cox Mobile Unit will be at the school on September 15th to give vaccinations to any student who needs updated ones. Students in kindergarten, 8th, and 12th grade all require new immunizations for school. If you would like a form sent home with your child, or if you are unsure if your student needs immunizations, please call the school nurse at 417-723-5300 ext. 128

Ready, Set, Sail, Pirates! 🏴‍☠️

Over the past two weeks our teachers and staff have been busy getting ready to welcome our Pirates back to school!

From welcoming our new staff members and diving into professional development to completing Stop the Bleed and Active Shooter Training, our team has been learning, preparing, and strengthening our skills to make sure we are ready for the year ahead.

Of course, we had to mix in a little fun, too! Our staff took on a Pirate Escape Room challenge, proving that teamwork, problem-solving, and a little friendly competition are always a good combination!

We are also incredibly grateful for the support of our community! Local churches and banks helped keep our staff fueled with delicious lunches throughout our training days. Your generosity and continued support mean so much to our Crane R-III family!

We are SO ready to welcome our kids back on this Tuesday!

Crane Elementary Families,
As we get ready to welcome our students back, here are a few important back-to-school reminders!

If your student will be picked up in the Elementary or Preschool pick-up line, please take a minute to watch this video and look over the visuals.

🚌 IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION REMINDER
If you attended Open House, the transportation plan you provided to your child’s teacher will be used beginning the first day of school and will remain their regular transportation plan moving forward.

If your child’s transportation plan has changed from what you provided at Open House, please call the Elementary Office at 417-723-5300 ext. 902 to update it.

Our 2025/2026 yearbooks have arrived and may be picked up this Thursday during Open House (August 20th | 4:30 - 6:30 pm). We will have signs posted around the school to direct you to our pickup location by the Library.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this book possible, and we are so excited for you to see your purchase! Yearbook students will not be able to collect payments during distribution; if you would like to purchase a yearbook or if you have further questions, please contact Ms. Knight ([email protected]). Limited extra copies are available, but those are sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Thank you all, and we look forward to seeing you during Open House!
