This was our FIRST year competing in UIL ILPC, and we are just getting started. We’re excited to continue building, growing, and competing at an even higher level next year.

From writing to production to on-air talent, our students continue to raise the bar every year.

Last night was a BIG moment for Pirate Productions! 🎥🏴‍☠️

For the first time ever, we pulled off a double livestream: broadcasting BOTH baseball ⚾️ and softball 🥎 at the same time… from the SAME room!

And wow… this team showed up.

From switching, audio, and graphics to communication and problem-solving on the fly, our students handled it like pros. Running two full productions side-by-side is no small task, but they stayed focused, worked together, and made it happen.

So proud of the teamwork, leadership, and growth we saw last night. This is what real-world production looks like, and they rose to the challenge in every way.

We can officially add “Award Winning” to our Bio! Pirate Productions attended our first ever contest this weekend with TAJE Fall Fiesta and walked away with 3rd Place in Best of Show for Broadcast! What an honor. So proud of the students who push and strive every week to put on a great show!! Next year…we plan for more! Get ready!

We want to take a moment to address tonight’s broadcast. Our student-run team experienced major technical difficulties that affected parts of the stream. These are high school students who are learning in real time, and I am proud of the hard work they put in each week to provide this service for our community. While it wasn’t our ideal situation tonight, I am thankful the students were able to troubleshoot and still provide some form of coverage for the game.

As both the broadcast advisor and a proud band mom, I want to be clear: thinking we don’t appreciate our band is simply not true. Our band is outstanding—their energy, talent, and dedication are a vital part of every Friday night, and we absolutely love showcasing them whenever possible.

Thank you for supporting all of our students—on the field, in the stands, and behind the cameras—as they grow, learn, and represent Pirate Pride. 💛🖤
