No school Monday, September 7, for Labor Day! Enjoy the three-day weekend!

📣 Our first pep rally is Friday, September 11! Parents planning to attend must pre-register for a visitor pass and remain in the designated parent bleachers behind the football players for the entire pep rally. Students will return to class afterward.

📌 Starting Tuesday, September 8, dress code violations involving non-ear piercings or unnatural hair color will result in ISS until corrected. Reminder: hoodies are not in dress code—please choose jackets or sweatshirts without hoods.

🏴‍☠️ Pirates, it’s time for a dress code check!

Before heading to school, make sure your student is dressed according to CHS expectations:

• Hair must be a natural color
• Shorts and skirts must be an appropriate length
• No crop tops or low-cut shirts
• No flip-flops or backless sandals
• Piercings are allowed in ears only

Starting September 8, students who are out of dress code will be sent to ISS until they are in compliance.

Take a few minutes to check before you leave home and start the school day ready to learn!

We’re excited for our first football game of the season tonight in Denton! 💛

A few Friday reminders:
📚 Attendance dropped this week, so we missed our 95% goal and Principal Free Dress. Let’s get back on track and make every school day count!
🪪 Students are doing a great job with ID badges and dress code expectations—keep it up!
🚗 Student drivers, please slow down and drive safely in the parking lot. Our officers issued citations this week.

B is for Burgers (and Big Growth!) 🍔📈

Last Friday, the Crandall ISD leadership team joined CHS to serve up a hamburger lunch for staff to celebrate their overall 84/B rating—a 4-point jump from last year.

A huge standout was Academic Growth, which increased 19 points:

Academic Growth: 64/D ➡️ 83/B (+19)
Overall Rating: 80/B ➡️ 84/B (+4)
Closing the Gaps: 75/C ➡️ 81/B (+6)
State Distinction: Top 25% in Comparative Academic Growth
Graduation Rate Component: 98.3%
